Hotel Dieu Shaver Health and Rehabilitation Centre has been awarded Accreditation with Exemplary Standing following a thorough program by Accreditation Canada.
The rigorous evaluation process that included an on-site survey assessed the hospital's leadership, governance, clinical program and services against Accreditation Canada requirements for quality and safety.
“This four year award is a significant achievement for Hotel Dieu Shaver that highlights a hospital-wide commitment to follow best practices and provide high-quality patient care," says Jane Rufrano, CEO of Hotel Dieu Shaver Health and Rehabilitation Centre.

Accreditation Canada applauded the work of the hospital in the reduction of pressure ulcer rates and the use of restraints along with excellent hand-hygiene rates. The executive summary highlighted how the hospital's high functioning interdisciplinary teams deliver excellent care, evident in the patient satisfaction survey scores.
