At an awards ceremony during HealthAchieve, a conference and exhibition of the Ontario Hospital Association held in Toronto on November 3rd, Hotel Dieu Shaver Health and Rehabilitation Centre was awarded with a 2015 Quality Healthcare Workplace Awards – Platinum Level.
“Hotel Dieu Shaver is extremely proud to be awarded Platinum, the highest level achievable,” says Jane Rufrano, CEO of Hotel Dieu Shaver Health and Rehabilitation Centre. “We were honoured to receive a Silver Level, Quality Healthcare Workplace Award in 2013 and Gold Level in 2014. Each year we continue to show our commitment to raising the bar of excellence.”
The Quality Healthcare Workplace Award submissions from hospitals and other health care organizations across Ontario were judged on a number of criteria with an emphasis on health and inspiring work environments, continued efforts to improve quality and reduce costs, and a focus on patient care excellence. The awards are sponsored by the Ontario Hospital Association and HealthForceOntario, an initiative of the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care.
“This Platinum Award demonstrates that Hotel Dieu Shaver staff are committed to making our organization an exceptional and caring environment for all,” continues Rufrano. “It is always a source of satisfaction to see that our colleagues, such as the Ontario Health Association and others outside of our walls, recognize the value of our work.”
