Focusing on the mission, vision and values of Hotel Dieu Shaver and continuing the healing mission of the Religious Hospitallers of St. Joseph (RHSJ), Hotel Dieu Shaver's annual RHSJ Physician Excellence Award honours an HDS physician who demonstrates, in his or her clinical practice, the core concepts of person and family-centred care, including dignity and respect, information sharing, participation and collaboration.
This year, at Hotel Dieu Shaver’s Physician Excellence Award Presentation held on Doctor’s Day, we were pleased to announce the recipient of HDS’ 2024 RHSJ Physician Excellence Award. We extend congratulations to all nominees and are pleased to share that this year’s recipient is Dr. Raymond Harb.
Dr. Harb has been an integral part of our hospital family since 1981. Throughout his remarkable career spanning over four decades, he has exemplified the highest standards of medical excellence, compassion, and leadership.
His peers have noted that his commitment to continuous learning and innovation has not only transformed the lives of countless patients but has also inspired his colleagues to push the boundaries of what is possible in healthcare, and that his holistic, compassionate care for his patients honours the mission, vision, and values of Hotel Dieu Shaver.
Dr. Harb's impact extends far beyond the walls of our hospital. His involvement in several community programs across Niagara, his dedication to medical education, and his unwavering support for healthcare initiatives have left an indelible mark on our community.
