Universal Masking
Hotel Dieu Shaver's universal masking policy remains in effect. This means that everyone who enters our facility must wear a mask. Any changes will be informed by guidance from the Ministry of Health, Public Health Ontario and Hotel Dieu Shaver’s Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) team, and at which time the community will be updated. Inpatient Visitation Guidelines
Important: Visitors are not permitted to visit if they are feeling unwell and/or if they are experiencing any of the identified symptoms
- Visitors are required to self-assess their health, wash their hands and put on a clean hospital-grade mask upon entry
- Inpatients can have 2 visitors at their beside, at a time
- All visitors must be 12 years old and up
- Visitation should not disrupt a patient’s therapy session. If you came to visit while a patient is receiving therapy, we kindly ask that you return once therapy is complete
- There is no visitation for isolated COVID-19 patients
Inpatient Visiting Hours:
Monday - Sunday (including Stat Holidays): 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Outpatient Services
Important: Visitors are not permitted to visit if they are feeling unwell and/or if they are experiencing any of the identified symptoms
- Any person coming for an outpatient appointment will be permitted 1 support person per visit
- Outpatients and caregivers are required to self-assess their health, wash their hands and put on a clean hospital-grade mask upon entry
- If an outpatient has a mask exemption, their appointment will be scheduled at the end of the day
